'Gossip Girl:' Chuck's Heart Grows Three Sizes
Just when I thought I couldn't like sleazy, manipulative Chuck Bass any more than I already did he goes and gets all...emo. Mopey, I-love-Blair Chuck is awesome. I love that he didn't even try to hide the butterflies. I don't even mind that my Chuck is Gossip Girl theory is blown at this point.
Although, who is Gossip Girl?
All the major characters on the show (except Nate and Jenny, of course) were at Blair's birthday party when Gossip Girl sent out the picture of Nate putting Jenny in a cab. I mean, these kids do all have super fancy cell phones but it's still a little much to expect Gossip Girl to update the blog during the party. Am I overthinking things? Are we not supposed to care who Gossip Girl is?
I'm still hoping that Chuck and Blair will become the Dylan and Brenda of the Upper East Side, but it doesn't seem like the show is going in that direction. Some more random thoughts about this week's episode:
- How stupid is Jenny? If she really wants to be friends with Blair she shouldn't be taking a walk with Nate.
- I give Rufus and Allison two weeks together, tops.
- Why were the candles on Blair's birthday cake so freakishly tall?
- Serena's dress was fug. It looked like she made it herself out of a pajama top and a Bedazzler.
