August 04 Channel Surfing--August 4, 2006Random happenings in TV land today …
- "Everwood" star Treat Williams is coming back to TV in a new TNT drama that sounds a lot like his role on the unfortunately canceled "Everwood": He'll play a brilliant surgeon whose devotion to his career takes a toll on his personal life.
- Carl Spackler's getting a custom-made "Caddyshack" motorcycle from the "American Chopper" dudes on Monday (Discovery Channel, 10 p.m. ET).
- Anthology series haven't done well on the networks, but ABC's "Masters of Science Fiction" might be the exception of the stellar line-up of guest stars, including Sam Waterston, Anne Heche, John Hurt, Sean Astin, Malcolm McDowell, Brian Dennehy, Terry O'Quinn and Judy Davis, lure viewers to tune in. - Ruben Studdard isn't the only "AI" alum who's about to drop a new disc. Clay Aiken is releasing a cover album, with his version of tunes by Celine Dion, Foreigner and Bryan Adams.
- Which do you believe: Jon Stewart Is God or Stephen Colbert Is God? - "Prison Break" hottie Wentworth Miller is also a cartoonist. - And don't miss tonight's 100th episode of "Best Week Ever" (VH-1, 11 p.m. ET), which is also, sadly, the season finale.
