    TV Tidbits

If you're a fan of "My Name Is Earl," you may want to check out a live blog Thursday for its season finale.

Back in the day, I used to love the MTV dating show "Singled Out," which featured Jenny McCarthy and then Carmen Electra. So now, Tara Conner of Miss USA fame is looking to star in an updated version of the show.

Now HBO has forced out its CEO after he was arrested for allegedly striking his girlfriend.

That means he's probably not celebrating as much as he would the fact that the Mayweather-De La Hoya fight brought in a record $120 million in pay-per-view money.

The people behind "American Idol" are about to launch a new show that will search for a hot new band instead of an individual singer. Will that format work? Or will it be too hard for viewers to get attached to a whole group of rockers as opposed to individual performers?

Kudos to Emeril for giving more than $500,000 to help Gulf Coast programs.

Looks like the nearly $10 million bid for the General Lee was a scam worthy of Boss Hogg.

NPR's "All Things Considered" took a look at Internet TV.

Tom Selleck is back to the small screen as the new owner of the Montecito on "Las Vegas."
