2月12日 TV TidbitsMegan Mullally is going to do a guest-turn on "Boston Legal" as an old flame of Alan Shore's who's suspected of murder. I still like the show and I'm looking forward to Mullally's appearance. But still, I think a high-profile female character who is not a former, present, or future sexual conquest for Alan or Denny should be the exception rather than the rule.
Ilan, the latest "Top Chef," and his mom both felt the need to do some damage control for some reason. It's interesting that Ilan's essay is pretty devoid of specifics about the things that he said were not shown that would have put things in a different light. I wonder what's up with that.
Tiki Barber is retiring from the Giants to become a correspondent with NBC. Best of luck with his new career, which I guess is by definition going to be easier than his old one.
Riddle me this: When is a Muppet not a Muppet? Answer: When it's captured by claymation. There's going to be a new show featuring Ernie and Bert that will have them in stop-action dream sequences.
SoapNet is about to have its first original scripted series, although since the series in question is a spin-off of "General Hospital," it may be stretching it a bit to say "original." It's also going to start carrying "The O.C." and "One Tree Hill."
The head of Cartoon Network resigned over the botched publicity stunt that led to a $2 million settlement. I think it's sad that the chief executive of a TV network takes more responsibility for his actions than certain other chief executives that I could name.
I just got a new flat-screen, and you know how after a big purchase there's always the threat of buyer's remorse? Well after reading this article about how the brand I chose, Olevia, charges much less than the big-name ones, I feel fairly confident that this isn't going to be the case for me this time around.
