10月17日 Miscellaneous MusingsFor all you "Judging Amy" fans out there, Amy Brenneman has signed a deal to return to ABC for a project to be determined later.
"Veronica Mars" executive producer Diane Ruggiero is set to helm a pilot for the CW described as "Sex in the City" meets "Batman." I hope they're talking about the Christian Bale Batman rather than the Adam West one. I implicitly trust Diane to make this new show more like the success that "Heroes" seems to have become than the disappointment of "Birds of Prey." But I also hope this isn't a case of her seeing the writing on the wall for "VM" and trying to land her next gig ASAP.
David Shore of "House" is now going to do a series centered around a female cop.
TVgasm is saying it's got "credible confirmation" that the next edition of "The Amazing Race" will be an All-Star Edition. Now I know Phil isn't the final authority on the issue, and it was a while ago that I was on a conference call with him, but he seemed to be pretty adamant that such a move would be a bad idea. I wonder if this rules out the rumor that a couple "Big Brother" refugees would be racing soon or makes it more likely.
And Justin Timberlake is scheduled to be on the upcoming "Victoria's Secret" special. I think CBS must be hoping extra people will tune in looking for more wardrobe malfunctions.
