    50 Greatest TV Icons?

15072277katemulcrone1113200743541PM Entertainment Weekly and TV Land teamed up to create a list of the 50 Greatest TV Icons. TV Land will air a special devoted to the list this Friday, but in the meantime you can check out who made the cut.

I have to say, it's kind of a weird list. I don't begrudge most of the stars their places on the list, but maybe Kermit the Frog and Lassie could have been cut to make room for:

    1. Jason Bateman. He was great on "Valerie," a.k.a. "The Hogan Family" and absolutely killed on "Arrested Development." Come on, guys.

    2. Stephen Colbert. Stewart without Colbert is like...ketchup and mustard without onions? I want a list with more truthiness.

    3. Katie Couric. However you feel about her, she's easily one of the most recognizable - dare I say iconic? - people on the tube.

    4. Valerie Harper. Um, hello? Did you forget about "Rhoda?" (Not to mention "Valerie.")

    5. Kyle MacLachlan. He was fantastic in "Twin Peaks," hilarious on "Sex and the City" and he's absolutely brilliant on "Desperate Housewives." Where's the love?
